There are many ways, listed below, to volunteer with Staff Auxiliary activities.
One-Time Volunteer Opportunities
Our biggest recurring need for volunteers for just one day is envelope-stuffing for the invitations for our biggest event, the Spring Luncheon. For a few hours the board members and other volunteers gather at a board member's house to stuff and seal envelopes for this event. There's food and good conversation, and it's actually quite fun, so email the Entertainment Chair if you'd like to join us.
Descriptions of the committees are found on the About Us page. Please see the Contact Us page if you are interested in joining a committee.
The descriptions of the board positions and committee member positions on the About Us page detail the duties for either the Chair position or Committee in which you are interested. We hold monthly meetings for all Board members (committee members need not attend all monthly meetings) on the second Wednesday of the month in the morning. These meetings last about an hour. People are free to stay afterwards if time permits and socialize.
The committees will hold their own meetings as their projects and activities require. In addition to the duties of a given Board position, we have a few other commitments:
- Invitation Mailing: Help assemble invitations for the Spring luncheon.
- Spring Luncheon: Help greet attendees, sell raffle tickets, and assist with the raffle and silent auction.
See the Contact Us page if you are interested in joining a committee or assuming a board position.
